After over 5 glorious years, I have moved ye olde blog to Tumblr. It didn’t make sense to have a Scrapbook that I updated all the time and a longer-form blog that I didn’t. WordPress, it was nice hanging out with you. Entries will be archived here for your perusal.
I got to shoot Big Sean for Complex Magazine back in April. On stands now. Below is the tear and some outtakes I liked. Got some great sun reflecting off a building nearby.
This summer has been totally bonkers but I’ve still found some time to get in some fun. Otherwise I’d go crazy. Various summer snaps below. Keep up on my more-often-updated .
In February and March I had the amazing opportunity to do two shoots for PacSun’s new campaign with the great people at 72andSunny in LA. The second shoot was done alongside the production of a TV commercial directed by So-Me, the long version of which is now out and viewable ! Endless thanks to my awesome team, the athletes/actors/models, and everyone at 72!
Below are some of the print ads that have already rolled out as well as some screenshots from . Many more to come. Very excited to see these popping up.
Last month I shot UFC fighter Jon Jones for ESPN The Magazine. One of the most fun shoots I’ve worked on recently. The article is about how since these fighters are essentially lethal weapons, they have to keep their skills pretty much hidden…except when necessary. Recently, Jon Jones happened upon woman whose GPS had been stolen from her car, and –at the risk of his upcoming fight (had he become injured).
So we wanted to show him in a more gentle, pensive light. Below are some outtakes that I loved, featuring a duckling and baby rabbit! Thanks to Susanne for the assignment and to Jon and his team for going with our ideas!
Just got back to NYC from a trip to LA then an epic overnight Amtrak trip from LA to Portland, and finally a trip on the Amtrak Cascades line from Portland to Seattle. Video to come. Not to mention all of the amazing shoots I’ve been lucky enough to do in the last couple of months. It is finally spring in New York!
